Haldia CFS bags and completes its first Job order from MSC Shipping !
Apeejay Infralogistics Private Limited (AILPL) is a 50:50 JV of Apeejay Surrendra Group and UK based
Eredene Capital PLC. Its Haldia Logistics Park's CFS was inaugurated by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in late 2012.  Earlier this week on Feb 7th the CFS completed its first Job Order of 107 x 20’ containers allotment from MSC SHIPPING. MSC Shipping Agency India is the largest MLO (Main Line Operator) in terms of through put of Containerised Cargo handling at Haldia Port at present. The Haldia CFS team had the job to move all containers from Vessel Hook Point (Directly From Vessel Without moving into Port Container Yard )from the Ship “Ocean Probe “Voyage - 034 who berthed at Haldia Dock on Feb 5th for its Import Discharge Operation.
The team completed the entire discharge within stipulated time provided by Shipping Line i.e 72 hrs and bettered it by accomplishing within 48 Hours within  06.30 hrs morning  of Feb 7th. This is the JVs first milestone achieved through 24 hrs operation and the best support. Hats off to the complete Team who demonstrated high morale and Physical Strength during this 24 hrs throughout operations showing their "Can Do" spirit.

Speaking to Apeejay People Manager Haldia CFS, Malaya Bal. "We were successful not only in operational front but also completing all types of MIS Reports the Shipping line needs before the time line they set for us prompting them to acknowledge our service level and assured us with major share of their regular BIZ at Haldia and support for our Kalinganagar ICD as well the best way they can." Of the Total 107 TEUS are Gated into our CFS, the First Lot of12 TEUS reached the CFS around 11.45 hrs and by early Feb 6th had around 80 TEUS. The operation commence during night shifts of 6th Feb during which rest of 27 TEUS within early 06.30 hrs of 7th Feb 2013 with all compliances of all requisite guidelines of Customs and Port in place. It is completely a Team Effort well guided and lead by our COO, Mr.Rajiv Kumar who has steered our strategies with his timely intervention, advice and guidance as well as the great Apeejay Brand Value."

Haldia Logistics Park is the only integrated park in Eastern India which will provide one stop facility for all the dry Exim cargo. It’s the first park in the Eastern region which has CFS Facility, state of the Art Domestic Warehouses, Hardstand storage, Open yard storage, Weigh Bridge facility along with other modern facilities. The first phase of the Haldia Park is spread over a working area of 45 acres with 24 acres earmarked for Container Freight station to handle over 4000 containers and includes 60,000 sq ft for Exim Bonded warehouse. In addition, the Haldia facility will have 80,000 sq ft for domestic warehouse, 240,000 sq ft for open storage and project cargo and over 30,000 sq .ft for other utilities. Haldia Logistics Park also boasts about its unparalleled infrastructure facilities that are unseen in other Parks-- 24 Hours power back up facility, fully equipped Fire Fighting system, Bonded and Covered warehouses along with open storage place. In the future, the company also plans to develop Truck Terminal, Truck repair facility, Container repair facility, Commercial office space  and cold storage thus making it the most extensive integrated Park in eastern region. The 90-acre Haldia Logistics Park is designed to provide dedicated space for storage for domestic and EXIM cargo, consolidation, deconsolidation, stuffing and destuffing, customs clearance, container repair yard, light processing units, truck terminal, commercial space for retail and business along with key support services for the industrial units in West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, North East and Land locked countries of Bhutan and Nepal.
